TOPS FIRST GOLF TOURNAMENT
This fundraising efforts is a means to be ready to meet a need for more pools in our area.
As shared at the parent meeting, USA Swimming, Middle Atlantic, ASCA, ISCA, and other swimming bodies acknowledge the need for more pools; and we feel it, most acutely, in southeastern PA.
As Brian Stoudt shared in a previous email, we are VERY THANKFUL to all those who contributed to this fundraising effort. You are supporting not only TOPS, but the future of this sport, in this area.
Thank you! Thank you! You are TOPS!
It was a beautiful day. It was a lot of fun. There were great prizes, and it was wonderful spending time with our swim family, off the deck.
We have added a* COLLEGE* tab, and we will be posting relevant information, for our HS swimmers, who are contemplating swimming in college. We hope to have articles, and links posted, this week. We will also alert you of additions via our Weekly Announcements.

SAL OFFICIALS CLINIC

TIME: 7 P.M.
TOPS USA SWIMMERS WHO ARE 17 AND OLDER- If you will be swimming in the upcoming Blue Eagle meet, you must take the online Athlete Protection Online Class. Not only will Blue Eagle be checking you USA membership, but they will be checking that you took this online class. This is especially pressing for our existing 18 yr. old. It will be very unfortunate if you came to the meet and were not permitted to swim because this requirement is not fulfilled. Sadly, there is nothing your coaches can do for you if you do not take the necessary steps to complete this task.
FYI…You must allow at least 24 hrs. for the results of your online class to appear on your Deck Pass.

ALL SAL INFORMATION IS LISTED UNDER THE SAL TAB ON OUR WEBSITE.
In our handbook, and shared in various Weekly Announcements, is the list of the required equipment for practices. It was shared, weeks ago, that the swim equipment needs to be in place by the swimmers’ first swim practice. Please refer to the list, as well as, go to the Swim Outlet Team Affiliate page for TOPS, and the required equipment icon.
The only item, not listed on our Swim Outlet page is the Hans Paddles. That link is also on our team home page. Coach Bill has chosen these paddles for they provide ample resistance.
*Please wait a few seconds, for the page take a little bit to load.
Please do NOT purchase paddles (other than Hans) that are too big for the hand of the swimmer. If we see that the paddles are too big, we will not permit the swimmer to use them. The Hans Paddles are affordable and meet the needs of the swimmer.
If you are finding yourself in a pinch for the equipment, we recommend that you go to Toad Hollow, in Paoli, PA. They have all the items on our equipment list, MINUS Hans Paddles.
BUOY – Coach Catherine has a swim buoy for anyone needing to purchase one for practice.
*Interest in the above items should be declared through the TOPS email (email@example.com).
USA PRACTICE BEGINS – SEPT. 16TH
WHOLE TEAM PRACTICE BEGINS – SEPT. 23RD
As per USA Swimming, no parents are to be on the swim deck and in the swimmer locker rooms.
POTTSTOWN ATHLETIC CENTER (PAC)
*There are two swimmer locker rooms- boys and girls.
*The entrance is from the lobby area. To enter the pool, they walk through the bathroom, on the far end, and enter the pool from the opposite end of the bathroom.
*We recommend that all swimmers bring their belongings to the pool deck and put their bags on the bleachers.
At the conclusion of practice, the swimmers will enter the bathrooms from the pool deck, and exit the locker room from the same entrance they used upon arrival.
*Swimmers and parents are not to enter the pool area using the door entering the deck from the lobby area. The pool staff will redirect you to the locker rooms.
*Parents, you may watch practice form the lobby area. There is ample seating. We recommend that you take the opportunity to talk to each other and get to know each other. We are a swim family, and getting to know each other is a way can support one another.
*We want to be good stewards of the pool. Parents, please do not allow your children to run around in the hallways or around the facilities. We are only renting the pool at each facility.
It is crucial for swimmers to arrive around 10 min. early in order to be ready to jump in the water when the practice is set to begin.
Parents, it is crucial that they are on time for practice. It is also crucial that you pick your swimmer up no later than 10 min. past the conclusion of practice.
*We are successfully entered into the Blue Eagle NT Buster Meet.
*It was noted that there was an error with the UDAC Distance meet entry file. UDAC sent a new entry file, making the correction. We will be taking down the old entry file and importing the udated one. If you committed to this meet, you will need to recommit using the new event file.
