Tops Announcements 9/18
ADDITIONAL TOPS ANNOUNCEMENTS AND REMINDERS
Good afternoon, TOPS Families. Well, we are off! We understand that there will be some need for flexibility and understanding as we begin our new swim season.
*Swimmers need to make sure that all their swim gear is put back in their equipment bag at the end of practice, each night. The equipment bag is to go home every night. We are seeing that some of the swim equipment is not labeled with the swimmer’s name. Please make sure that all equipment is labeled (each paddle, each fin, etc.)
*We will make arrangements to have the Hans Paddles available for purchase at the Hill School and the Perk School, this week.
MISSING EQUIPMENT- POTTSTOWN Y
My daughter left her purple mesh equipment bag at the Pottstown Y today after practice. We will be at practice tomorrow if anyone picked it up.
My daughter attended the swim practice tonight at the Pottstown Y. She left her blue mesh equipment bag. It has an S. Moffa on the name label. Did anyone pick it up? We will be at the Pottstown Y again for tomorrow’s practice.
Brody Carpenter is a new 8 year old swimmer practicing at the Pottstown Y facility. We are in the Royersford/Collegeville area if anyone is interested in carpooling for practices. Please contact Kerri Carpenter at firstname.lastname@example.org or 302-438-8990.
*To ensure that your question is answered in a timely and complete manner, please email the coaches via the TOPS website. Go to CONTACT US and follow the directions. Please do not contact the coaches, directly, unless specified.
*If you are not receiving emails and announcements, it could be that you did not verify information in your account. Please go to your account to verify your contact information. With Team Unify, we can see who has received our emails, who opened them, and who has yet to read them. This transparent measure is to ensure that we have an honest picture concerning our communication.
STILL NEEDED: Another parent to help plan social activities, with Cathy Horner, for our swimmers.
Swimmers are to bring to practice the Athlete Code of Conduct form and the Parent Code of Conduct form. Thank you, in advance.
*The Blue Eagle and the North Penn meet are closed for registration and will be submitted in the next 24 hrs. We have gone over all the events and times to ensure their accuracy.
*We believe that we give our TOPS USA swimmers ample time to look over the chosen USA meets, to plan accordingly, and to choose wisely. Going forward we will strictly adhere to the registration deadline and will not reopen a meet registration upon request. Thank you, in advance, for understanding.
*At this point, all TOPS USA swimmers, who have come from another USA program, should have submitted their transfer form to Middle Atlantic Swimming.
STILL NEEDED: USA Parent(s)- (1) Help with getting timers for meets; (2) Shirt for season ending USA meets (3) Plan and order meal for hotel at the season ending USA meets. (4) Help with fundraising for FL meet. You will work with, and be supported by, the coaches concerning the listed items.
FUNDRAISING FOR FLORIDA MEET: The Florida meet was a great meet, and we have the opportunity to take a lot of swimmers. We would like to fundraise for this meet in order to offset the cost. We need parents to step forward to help this fundraising effort. Thank you, in advance, for considering.
HEADS UP: We may need to provide timers for the upcoming Blue Eagle meet and the North Penn Distance meet. Please be prepared to help. We are thankful for the parents who always step forward, but we are expecting all our parents to play an active role. Lastly, we would love for our parents to sit together in the stands and wear their spirit wear. This simple action means a lot to the swimmers, for they will see a unified presence in the stands.
