TONIGHT is our official beginning of the SAL swim season! We look forward to beginning this swim journey with you for the next six months.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: “Let perseverance be your engine, and hope, your fuel.” ~H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

*Thank you to all our families who attended the Mandatory Parent Meeting, last Sunday, at Hillside. We appreciate your time and effort. Thank you to those parents who emailed us about their inability to attend the meeting due to a conflict or being out of town. We appreciate you letting us know why you were unable to attend. All that was discussed can be found on our website.

COMMUNICATION: Thank you to our parents and swimmers who have communicated to us via As shared before, we will try our best to respond within 24 hrs.

We will be setting up lists which will be more specific (e.g. Boys, Girls, USA) so that you get emails pertinent to your swimmer. Our webmaster, Trish DeMarco, will be working on this. Thank you, Trish.

While those lists are being made we will identify, in the subject line, those who need to read the email. Though our desire it to send as few emails as possible, there may be more than usual, since we are beginning a new season. Thank you, in advance, for your understanding.

In order to keep these announcements shorter, we will not be including a lot of specifics about meets, etc. which can be found on our website. We want our swimmers and families to visit our website to be fully informed.

Please refer to the practice schedule, posted on our website (blue button on left hand side), for your swimmer’s practice time. For our USA swimmers, last week’s practice schedule was for last week, only.

When registering, you were provided information as to the recommended number of practices for each training level.

Here is the recommended training attendance per level:
Pre-Team & TOPS 1: 2-3 practices per week
TOPS 2: 2- 3 practices per week
TOPS 3: 3- 4 practices per week
TOPS 4 : 4 – 5 practices per week
TOPS 5/HS/NATIONAL – 5-6 practices per week

We understand that some swimmers are participating in another sport which may impact their recommended attendance. We would appreciate an email stating the reason why the swimmer is not attending practice, so that we are all on the same page. Communication is key.

*Swimmers are to arrive ten minutes prior to practice to ensure they are ready to begin at the determined time.

The SAL Dual meet schedule has been updated on our website (Arrival, warm-up, and Start times). All home meets will be at Pottstown Athletic Center (PAC).

Please look at the meets (SAL tab- click on Dual meets), in order to help you with planning. Prior to each dual meet, we will be asking for known absences. Those not declaring an absence are expected to be at the dual meet. Our first dual meet is against Methacton on Nov. 2nd.

Everyone registered should have received an invitation for the SAL HHAA High Five Pentathlon. This invitational is voluntary. For our USA swimmers, this meet has been approved by Middle Atlantic. Swimmers are to swim ALL five events (flat fee of $20.00) which are the same events one would swim at a SAL dual meet. Please see the Meet Information, under the DOCUMENTS section (SAL INVITATIONALS), for more specifics.
