QUOTE OF THE WEEK: “The way you play the game is important. Understand how you play the game.” Tim Murphy (PSU Head Swim Coach)

*We had a visit from Penn State University’s Head Swim Coach, Tim Murphy, last week. He watched our practice for two hours, talked with Coach Bill, and then took a few moments to talk to our swimmers. Here is some of what he shared with them.

Be curious- Focus on the now. Make an effort to figure out what you are doing and why you are doing it. Focus on the process. This will help you learn and grow, not only in swimming but in all areas of your life.

Fun- Referring to the quote above, it is important to understand how you ‘play the game.’ This understanding supports individual development and cultivates ‘fun.’

Relationships- Team relationships are very important. Team comradery, with common goals, are foundational and essential for team unity and development. How you act, and the decisions you make, impact the whole, and can make everyone better; as an athlete and a person.

Have you embraced the challenge? It is never too late to be grateful.

TODAY is the last day for a Holiday Doorbuster sale (70%). There is a lot on this site beyond swim items for your holiday shopping.

Also, if you want to get a customized item for Christmas, the order needs to be placed by Nov. 25th.
If you are doing any shopping through Swim Outlet, please go to the site through our team affiliated link on our website. It is a simple way to support TOPS.

FOOD DRIVE- There is a food drive, in progress, at PAC. Please support those in need during this time of year. Canned goods will be collected through Nov. 20th. Thank you in advance for supporting.

Our TOPS HS Swimmers will begin practice with their respective HS swim teams, tomorrow.

TOPS HS swimmers, we will miss seeing you, each day. With that said, we do require that you attend one evening practice per week.

The a.m. practices are there for you to attend, but are not a replacement for the evening practice.
It is important for us stay connected, as a team, as best we can. Refer back to Coach Murphy’s words of wisdom.
The HS coaches are aware of our requirement, and they have had no issue with our request.

Beginning tomorrow, November 18th, the following schedule will begin.

Schedule for *PERKIOMEN SCHOOL – remains unchanged.

Under the SAL tab we changed the wording for our sub-tab for our dual meets, etc.
You can see all our dual meets (arrival, warm-up, start, location), Invitationals, and directions for committing to an invite, as well as, SAL champ information under TOPS Meets/ Invites/ Championships sub-tab. This information has always been there, but we changed the sub-tab wording to ensure clarity.

Great job, swimmers and parents for all your spirit and effort with our dual meets with PVAC! Again, we had some excellent swims, and we loved the energy at both meets.

Chris Merrell approached the coaches at the end of the boys’ meet to say ‘thank you,’ and we asked him if he had a good time. He said that his favorite part of the meet was the last event; boys’ Open Free Relay. Staying to the end gives energy and is a testament to team comradery.

Thank you, parents, for stepping forward for volunteering.

*The boys’ PVAC dual meet results have been imported and should be reflected in your Parent Portal.

*The girls’ times will be imported soon.

How do you see your swimmer’s times?
1) Click on Parent Portal
2) Click on VIEW MEETS
3) Click on Completed Meet
4) All completed meets, and times, should be reflected.

*Today, is our last day to RSVP a swimmer absence for our next dual meet vs. NPAC.

*If an emergency, or sickness, prevents your swimmer from attending the dual meet, you are to contact us via email. Please do not email individual coaches.

Thank you, parents, for getting your swimmers to the dual meets on time. It is greatly appreciated. Also, thank you for wearing your spirit wear! You looked awesome!
