COMMUNITY SERVICE DURING OUR SPRING CLINIC
Coach Nikki participates in a camp (Camp Courage) in Haiti every summer. She brings the love of swimming to the young people in Haiti. As you know, Haiti is a very poor country, and having a bathing suit is a luxury. Therefore, to support Coach Nikki’s Camp Courage, we will be collecting GENTLY USED or NEW bathing suits for children. We will collect at each training location. THANK YOU, in advance for your support.

CLAY SHOOT FUNDRAISER- The fundraiser is about a month away! Did you get your sponsorship? Will you join in the fun and get a team? The more the merrier.. and more successful. We will also need volunteers for the day, as well. A sign up will be forthcoming.

SOCIAL MEDIA
FACEBOOK- As part of our Spring Cleaning, we are going through our TOPS members and removing those who have left our program. We will be keeping our alumni. Just an FYI.

TWITTER AND INSTAGRAM
We will be deleting these accounts for we want to streamline our social media presence, and all the monitoring it entails. With our new website we can upload pictures for our families to enjoy vs. using these social media avenues.

SWIM OUTLET- END OF SEASON SALE/PERFORMANCE SALE
If you are in need of swim items, or clothing, there is a big sale going on, right now. Please enter the Swim Outlet site, via our link on our website. There is so much more to our amazing swimmers than just their swimming. Please email your OFF THE DECK sharing to topsswimming@gmail.com. Please write in the subject line- Off the Deck. Thank you!

WHAT’S ON DECK WITH TOPS?

An email will is forthcoming about our Celebration, this Sunday, April 14th.

Please register for our swim clinic, which will be held at the Pottstown Athletic Center and the Perk School. It will be technique based, with some conditioning.
For our LC USA Swimmers (13 and older) they will have a conditioning practice on the Friday’s during the clinic.

USA SWIMMING
Just posted on USA Swimming was the_* 2019 Speedo Winter Junior Nationals Time Standards*_. We are happy to announce that Chris Guiliano earned three Junior National Time Cuts!! 50 free, 100 free, and 200 IM! Congratulations, Chris!!

Also, we have a number of swimmers who earned Futures Championship cuts and Sectional Cuts at the season ending USA meets. We will share the specifics at the End of Season Celebration.

LONG COURSE

Clarification about LC- Swimming LC is another means to train. Though we ask our swimmers, who are committed to swim LC to participate in the clinic, we do not have a mandatory number of practices, per week, they must attend during the clinic. For our older swimmers (13 and older) you have five opportunities to practice. The Friday practices will focus on conditioning.

The LC Marsh Creek practices- There are three mornings practices (Mon. Wed, Fri.). You are only required to attend ONE LC practice. You are welcome to attend three, if you wish.

For our *young USA swimmers, we recommend only one LC practice.

*Please begin to arrange carpools to help with the transportation.

We know that going all the way to Marsh Creek can be a hardship. Our use of Marsh Creek has a long history (over 10 years) and as in the past, *we will be training with the Golden Rams and Coatesville.

*We would also like to see our swimmers enjoy a breakfast together, once or twice this summer (if not weekly) at The Ridge (restaurant across from OJRHS) after practice. This is a long standing tradition.

LC MEETS
We have three LC meets which we will be attending. These do not include the season ending USA meets (e.g. JO’s, Silvers, and Seniors- FL). Unlike our winter USA season ending meet expectation, swimmers are not obligated to participate in a season ending USA meet.

*If you wish to attend a season ending LC USA meet, that is fantastic. If not, that is fine. Again, LC is another means to train, and we want to offer LC to those who wish to participate.

*We have one more USA meet, we need to submit for entry- Boyertown Luau LC Meet. * Please make your event selection by this Friday, April 12th. * We want to make sure all times are correct and ready for submission. Many thanks!

THANK YOU AND HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEK! SEE YOU ALL ON SUNDAY!!

TOPS SENIORS- Have you made a decision as to what you will do next year? No pressure, but if you have made a decision, please email your decision to the topsswimming@gmail.com website.

CLAY SHOOT- This will be an amazing fundraiser, and we need your support. Please get a sponsor for the event, or better still, get a team together to enjoy the day.

END OF SEASON CELEBRATION- An email will be forthcoming for this event on April 14th at 1:00 p.m.

USA SWIMMING

*As shared, above, any USA swimmer wishing to swim LC, must attend the spring clinic, as well as, attend ONE LC practice per week.

The Friday practice, during the clinic, is for our USA LC swimmers ages (13 and over). We will not be having any swimmer, younger than 13, attend this Friday practice.

*All the season ending USA Championship meet results have been uploaded and your swimmer’s times should be reflected in the Parent Portal.
